Hagerman National Fish Hatchery

Located 32 miles from Twin Falls, this hatchery raises 1.6 million steelhead trout and 300,000 rainbow trout annually. The hatchery is open daily from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and offers small displays on fish culture. Environmental education lectures and tours are arranged upon request.

Hagerman State Fish Hatchery

Covering 35 acres and producing 5.5 million rainbow and kamloops trout, this fish hatchery offers a unique experience. During feeding time, the water raceways churn into a frenzy of silvery mass. The hatchery also provides for bird and wildlife observation.
Tours are offered daily by reservation between 7:30 and 5:00. The hatchery is located 3.5 miles south of Hagerman.

Niagara Springs State Park

The churning, icy blue water that tumbles 350 feet down the canyon walls at 250 cubic feet per second is so spectacular that this site has been designated a National Natural Landmark. Here you’ll also find abundant wildlife, especially waterfowl. Fantastic fishing can be found in the delta below the springs, in the Snake River at Pugmire Park, and in Crystal Springs Lake. The park is also popular for family and group picnics.

Many of Idaho’s most beautiful and scenic spots are preserved in the Idaho Parks system.
The Thousand Springs.

The Hagerman area is drenched with artesian water from the Snake River Plain Aquifer, a ten thousand square mile underground reservoir. The springs are thought to be the reappearance of Lost River, which sinks into the Lava Fields near Arco, 90 miles northeast. It emerges from the ground as crystal clear springs which cascade from the canyon walls and bubble up from the river bottom.
